Precita Eyes Mural Arts – Check out Our New Mural!
This spring youth participating in Precita Eyes Mural Arts program completed a mural along the clinic's parking lot wall. The former mural had to be torn down because it had sadly been tagged with graffiti repeatedly over last summer and could not longer be repaired. The new mural's design – focusing on images of health - was 100% developed by youth participating in the Precita Eyes program. It is colorful, bold, and contemporary – giving the exterior of the clinic a bright new generation look.
California Wellness Foundation
California Wellness Foundation hosted a conference in Los Angeles in this past May for those working in the field of family planning and teen pregnancy prevention. We sent two of our staff, Jennifer Moran and Shawna Pattison, to attend. Jennifer and Shawna enjoyed meeting other providers, hearing about different programs across the California, and obtaining new information about progress being made in reducing teen pregnancy. Teen pregnancy rates continue to decrease.
