2007 Leadership Conference
From February 8-9, 2007, the seven Centers of Excellence ACP project teams attended a conference in San Francisco. Each ACP brought individuals from both academic and community partners to attend the 1-1/2 day conference.
The goals of the convening were:
- To facilitate an expanded network with other Academic-Community Partnerships for sharing resources, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing programmatic outcomes; and
- To create a forum for hands-on technical assistance and feedback on program implementation and evaluation
During the conference, the UCSF CoE facilitated discussions with ACP project teams to discuss challenges, successes, and strategies for project development and implementation. For these discussions, ACP project teams were grouped base on common themes in project design, communities being served or types of issues being addressed. These discussions provide an opportunity for ACP project teams to both teach and learn from each other. ACP project teams spent time reviewing and refining their logic model and presented it to the larger group for feedback.
